Hi Everyone, here is a nice restored Trans Oceanic radio, a 500H, 1951 to 1953 model year, all restored electronically and cosmetically and ready for a new home. My teenage son Joey has done a nice job on the cabinet with the polish and mink oil. (Boy, ONE kid FINALLY turns out useful for something!) The cabinet looks great, was better than average condition. Joey polished all the brass to bright and shiny again. This has a very good plastic face, no cracks or chips, a tiny bit of age crazing in a few small places. Both antennas are there and in good condition, the 5 foot high telescoping antenna locks down as it should and releases and telescopes as it should. The wavemagnet is mounted on the lid with the original brass knurled nuts (often missing), and in the back is the two red rubber suction cups (they are hardened as usual, but in nice shape) and the wavemagnet extension cord (often missing). The chassis has had all the electrolytics replaced with new production parts and all the paper film capacitors have been replaced with modern polyesters. All the tubes are tested good.. Voltage was carefully measured at every tube pin and any irregularities spotted resistors with changed values that were also replaced. There is a clip holder inside the back cover for spare tubes. All the moving parts have been lubricated and the electronics re-aligned to factory specs. Radio works well on all bands. The radio now works as new - sensitive, selective and loud with good tone. This set comes with the original operating manula and a large foldout schematic and parts list and alignment instructions. Oh, we do have rechargeable batteries available for this model, click Battery if you want to see a picture. The pictures show the radio wel
