Hi Everybody, if you are into wood, or into deco, this is as good as it gets! This is a completely restored, inside and out Famous "Jet" radio. This is the better model with FM as well as AM. Big Jim did a great job on the wood - this started as the best cabinet on one of these I have seen. They are very fragile, way too much weight in the speaker and chassis for the materials used. I went through the electronics, tested good tubes, new electrolytics, changed paper foil capacitors to polyesters, new AC cord, new pilot lamp, lubricated the moving parts, and professionally aligned so it now works as well as or better than originally. The plastic dial face is our reproduction, it is gorgeous and correct. (thanks to Rob for his help too). That is the original grill cloth, still in very good condition if you haven't seen one of these before, it is about 2 feet wide and a foot tall. I think that is a ten inch speaker in there. The radio does of course sound good. Not too much else I can think of to say, the pictures speak for themselves, so does the radio, and it is even nicer in person.
